Andros Townsend has raved about Erling Haaland on Stadium Astro, amid speculation linking the striker with Liverpool and Manchester City.

Haaland is one of the best young strikers in Europe and has been linked with Premier League giants Liverpool and City.

Sky Sports reported last month interest in the Norway international from Liverpool and added that the striker himself would be open to a move to Anfield, as covered by HITC Sport.

The Daily Mail credited City with interest in the 20-year-old striker last month as well.

Crystal Palace winger Townsend has been hugely impressed by Haaland, and believes that he is a very frightening player.

Townsend said about Haaland on Stadium Astro: “What he is producing in Germany for Dortmund is just frightening for a player of his age.”

Summer transfer saga?

Haaland is one of the hottest prospects in the world at the moment, and there is bound to be a transfer saga on his future in the summer.

Dortmund are a massive club, but if they are offered a lot of money, then they are likely to cash in on the striker.

Haaland cost Dortmund £17.1 million in transfer fees when they signed him form RB Salzburg in January 2020, according to BBC Sport, but it is safe to say that he will cost considerably more this summer.

According to WhoScored, Haaland has scored 21 goals and provided five assists in the Bundesliga this season, and also scored 10 goals and gave two assists in the Champions League for Dortmund.
