Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend played with England international teammate Danny Rose at Tottenham Hotspur.

Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has told The Times that Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is the best left-back in the Premier League.
Rose has been on the books of Tottenham since 2007 when he joined from Leeds United for a transfer fee reported by Sky Sports and BBC Sport to be worth £1 million.
The 26-year-old left-back has established himself as one of the best players in the Premier League and is a key figure in the current Spurs team.

Townsend, who joined Palace from Newcastle United in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by Sky Sports to be worth £13m, played with Rose at Tottenham.
The 25-year-old winger has claimed that his England international teammate Rose is the best left-back in the Premier League.

“I enjoy my battles with him,” Townsend told The Times about Rose. “He’s somebody I enjoy playing with because I enjoy testing myself against the best.
“He’s a great defender. He gets up and down the pitch, gets you running the other way as well, and one-v-one he’s a strong tackler and the best left back in the league.”
Rose is a very good left-back and is superb going forward, and perhaps he is the best in his position in the Premier League.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment, while Palace are currently eighth in the standings.
