Jose Enrique has responded to new Everton signing Andros Townsend’s post on Instagram and has told him to finish behind Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the Premier League table.
What’s the story?
Townsend has joined Everton on a free transfer after leaving Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United winger was a free agent following his departure from Palace at the end of last month.
As announced on Everton’s official website, the 30-year-old winger has put pen to paper on a two-year contract.

While Enrique has wished Townsend the best of luck at his new club Everton, he has reminded him to finish behind Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
Everton have a former Liverpool manager in Rafael Benitez in charge of the first team now.
The Spaniard is one of the best managers around and is very ambitious.
While it is unlikely that Everton will finish above Liverpool in the Premier League table next season, things could change in the coming years with investment in the squad.
