What’s the story?
Everton maintained their strong start to the season with a 3-1 win against Burnley at Goodison Park in the Premier League last night.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United winger Townsend scored a superb goal in the 65th minute.
The English winger, who joined Everton in the summer transfer window after leaving Crystal Palace, found the back of the net with his left foot from outside the box.
Townsend’s effort was remarkable, especially the dip he got on the ball.

Former Manchester United defender Neville was following the match for Sky Sports, and he was impressed by the goal from 30-year-old Townsend, describing it as “unbelievable”.
