Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has told The Mirror that he has ‘moved on’ from his frustration at Tottenham Hotspur.
Townsend, 25, joined Palace from Newcastle United over the summer, and he’s made a bright start to life at Selhurst Park, which has led to him earning a recall to the England setup.

The last year has been a strange one for Townsend; he started last season at Tottenham Hotspur, where he came up through the ranks having joined at the age of just eight.
However, Townsend was frozen out under Mauricio Pochettino, and having not started a league game, he became involved in a public spat with Spurs fitness coach Nathan Gardiner in November 2015.

Townsend never played for Tottenham again, and was sold to Newcastle in January, but after relegation to the Championship, the winger was on the move again as he signed for Palace.
Now, with Townsend preparing to play for England against Malta and Slovenia over the next week, he has looked back on the end of his time at Tottenham.
Speaking to The Mirror, Townsend stated that his argument with Gardiner was down to his frustration at not playing – something he thinks everybody has experienced.

Townsend added that he regretted his actions instantly, but has now moved on from that frustration as he looks to rebuild his career with Palace.
“It was frustration,” said Townsend. “Everyone at some stage has been frustrated at work, lashed out and then regretted it instantly. I’ve moved on,” he added.
