Andriy Yarmolenko is in line to face Tottenham Hotspur it seems.

Bild have reported that Andriy Yarmolenko could be given his full Borussia Dortmund debut in Wednesday’s trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League.

The Ukraine international joined the Bundesliga leaders in a £23 million move from Dynamo Kiev last month.

And the talented 27-year-old winger made his bow in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Freiburg, earning a 12-minute cameo, but Bild report that Dortmund could unleash him from the start against Tottenham at Wembley tomorrow night.

The German outlet went on to label a potential partnership with striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as ‘AubaLenko’ in a fusion of both names, which doesn’t really click.

Mauricio Pochettino, manager of Spurs looks on prior to the Pre-Season Friendly match beween Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus at Wembley Stadium on August 5, 2017 in London, England.

It might click on the pitch, however. Yarmolenko is an excellent player and one who Spurs’ defence will have to keep in check throughout their Group H opener tomorrow.

He has scored 42 goals in 78 starts for Kiev over the past three seasons which, for a non-striker, is an outstanding return. Everton fans will attest to his danger, after he ripped them apart in a Europa League tie a couple of seasons ago, and Tottenham will certainly need to be on alert to combat him.
