Andriy Yarmolenko played the first-half of West Ham United’s pre-season friendly.

Andriy Yarmolenko took to Twitter after helping West Ham to a narrow victory in the club’s first pre-season friendly since the Ukraine international completed his move to the London Stadium.
Yarmolenko joined the Hammers in a deal worth £17.5 million, according to the London Evening Standard, and he will be hoping to get his career back on track somewhat after an extremely difficult spell with Borussia Dortmund.
Despite his time with the Bundesliga side, West Ham fans would be forgiven for feeling extremely excited regarding what the 28-year-old may be able to achieve during his spell with Manuel Pellegrini’s men, especially as he is one of a number of signings made during this window already.
And while the fans will be reserving significant judgement until the new season has started, they did manage to get a first glimpse of their new signing in the club’s latest pre-season game which saw the Premier League side take on Wycombe Wanderers.

It may not have been the emphatic win that Pellergrini would have probably been hoping for, but Marko Arnautovic was the man to bag the game’s only goal during the first-half and Yarmolenko provided glimpses of his quality.
In particular, the attacker hit the crossbar and hinted that he may be about to form an extremely exciting partnership with Arnautovic as their newly-developed understanding made the Irons look dangerous at times.

And after the game, Yarmolenko took to social media to comment on the result and congratulate his new side on bagging the victory…
