The Hull City player has been linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion.
Hull City player Andrew Robertson has been speaking to the Birmingham Mail about the importance of Jake Livermore following links with West Bromwich Albion.
The BBC recently reported that Baggies manager Tony Pulis has made a £10million bid for the midfielder as he seeks reinforcements in the January transfer window.
However, Robertson has stressed the importance of his Tigers teammate, clearly hoping he remains at the KC Stadium beyond this month.
“Jake has been at the top of his form all season and we need him with us and playing really well,” the Hull player told the Birmingham Mail.
“He doesn’t have the armband but he’s a leader in the changing room because he is such a strong character.
“As well as what he gives us out on the pitch, Jake is a great guy to have around.”
West Brom recently missed out on the signing of Morgan Schneiderlin, with the French international opting to move to Everton after leaving Manchester United.
Livermore would be a fine addition for the Baggies but as his Hull teammate has pointed out, he is vital to their own cause so it could take more than £10million to tempt their hand.
West Brom have two more weeks to bring reinforcements in at The Hawthorns yet it will not be easy, especially if they are targeting men who are key to their current teams.
