Andrew Robertson has been a sensation for Liverpool.

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson has told Open Goal of how West Ham United wanting him from Dundee United – but he quickly chose a move to Hull City instead.
Robertson’s story is somewhat remarkable; he was in the Celtic youth ranks and dreamed of playing for his boyhood club, but was released in 2009 because he was too small.
He moved on to Queen’s Park, and Dundee United then pounced to sign him after just 43 appearances, and his rapid ascent continued when Hull signed him just a year later, handing him a 2014 move to the KCOM Stadium.
Robertson went from Scotland’s fourth tier to the Premier League in just two years, and when Hull were relegated from the Premier League, Liverpool swooped to sign him in a bargain deal.
The Scot may have struggled for playing time in the first half of last season but is now one of the most popular players at Anfield having become Liverpool’s first-choice left back ahead of Alberto Moreno.
Now one of the best left backs in the Premier League and a Scotland regular, Robertson’s career has come so far in just six years, and he has revealed how different it could have been.

Robertson has revealed that West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United were both interested in signing him from Dundee United in 2014, but Steve Bruce managed to convince him to make the move to Hull instead – and West Ham will now feel that they missed out on a star.
“Before I left, I had a good chat with Steve Bruce, and he’d convinced me really because before that, I was uncertain, because Hull came out of nowhere,” said Robertson. “There were a couple of Premier League teams – I think West Brom were one and West Ham were one – and they were the only ones who were really spoken about. Hull then came out of nowhere and they just went ‘we’ll pay the money’, and it wasn’t a hard contract to negotiate,” he added.
