Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson and Dundee United’s Lawrence Shankland are set to reunite.

Not many players in the second tier of Scottish football get huge publicity, but that has been the case for Dundee United striker Lawrence Shankland this week.
The 24-year-old hitman joined the Terrors on a free transfer from Ayr United over the summer, having scored 62 goals in 73 games over the previous two seasons.
Despite having major interest elsewhere, Shankland decided to stay in the Scottish Championship – but his career has now taken a major step forward.
After scoring 15 goals in 12 games for Dundee United, Shankland has been called up by Scotland for the first time, and could make his international debut against Russia or San Marino.
That’s a big deal for Shankland, who has come a long way in recent years, and there is now mounting interest in his signature ahead of the January transfer window.
The Daily Record report that Celtic and Shankland’s boyhood club Rangers are both interested in signing him, and he’s now received a message from a Liverpool star.
Andrew Robertson played with Shankland at Queen’s Park when the duo were coming through as youngsters, and six years since they both left, they’re set to reunite with Scotland in a remarkable story.
Robertson has now tweeted Shankland saying he can’t wait to reunite with Shankland, and as a boyhood Celtic fan, the Liverpool ace may well be hoping that his former teammate joins the Bhoys over Rangers, with Robertson no doubt in his ear on international duty.
