Liverpool put their injury woes behind them to pick up a superb 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday night.
The Reds were without three first-choice defenders for Sunday’s game, with Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez all out injured.
Mohamed Salah was out too, due to pandemic protocol, meaning Liverpool were without four key players – and some felt Leicester could pose a real threat.
However, Jurgen Klopp’s men were outstanding throughout, and took the lead in the first half as Jonny Evans buried a header into his own net.
Diogo Jota continued his stunning form with a fine header for number two, and Roberto Firmino headed in number three to seal all three points.
Firmino will have been relieved to score, having gone through a difficult time in front of goal, and it looked like it wasn’t going to be his night.

The Brazilian had a close-range effort saved by Kasper Schmeichel, then hit the post and couldn’t force the ball home on the rebound, with many no doubt feeling sorry for him.
Firmino got his goal though, and teammate Andrew Robertson admitted on Twitter that he is ‘so happy’ to see Firmino score, suggesting that he fully deserved to score as the striker received support from a key teammate.
