The 19-year-old right-back has scored one goal and provided one assist in four Champions League starts for the Reds so far this season.
In 11 Premier League appearances, the England Under-21 international has scored one goal.
Scotland international left-back Robertson, 23, who joined Liverpool from Hull City in the summer of 2017 for an initial transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £8 million, has spoken highly of Alexander-Arnold.
“Trent’s last few performances have been different class,” Robertson told The Liverpool Echo. “The quality of the balls he puts in and the defending for a player so young is unbelievable.
“The experience he’s gaining will stand him in good stead for a long and successful career.”
Promising talent
With Nathaniel Clyne fit again, it will be interesting to see for how long Alexander-Arnold is able to keep his place in the Liverpool team.
There is no doubt that Clyne is the best right-back at Anfield, but the England international will face stiff competition from the teenage talent.
