Hull City host Bristol City on the opening day of the 2022/23 Championship season chasing a first league win over the Robins since 2016 with Liverpool ace Andrew Robertson playing.
The Tigers have endured a frustrating stretch against Bristol City through the past six years with the Robins unbeaten in eight. Hull last claimed all three points in a second-tier match against the Ashton Gate natives in April 2016, before then losing five and drawing in three.

Stoke City swooped to sign Sam Clucas in 2018 after a tough first season at Swansea City after leaving Hull. The Jacks paid the Tigers an initial £15m, rising to £16.5m, in 2017, but then sold him to the Potters for just £6m after three goals in 36 games with the Welsh side.
Sone Aluko (ST): Former Hull striker now at Ipswich after 2021 Reading exit
Ipswich Town signed Sone Aluko last summer after the striker left Reading at the end of his contract. He had spent four years with the Royals after leaving Fulham in 2017 for £6m, up to £7.5m, just 13 months after signing for the Cottagers after his contract with Hull ended.
Aluko enjoyed four years with Hull and also started the last time the Tigers beat Bristol City in 2016. The matchday 39 Championship affair would, however, prove to be one of his last appearances with the Tigers, and returned the last of his 14 goals and the last of 10 assists.
