Andrew Nelson has joined Dundee from Jack Ross’s Sunderland.
Andrew Nelson has taken to Twitter to bid a fond farewell to Sunderland following his move to Dundee.
As announced on Dundee’s official website, Nelson has moved to the Scottish Premiership club from Sunderland on a two-and-a-half-year-contract.
The 21-year-old striker has wished Sunderland the best of luck for the future and is looking forward to his time at Dundee.
Sunderland spell
Nelson is a product of Sunderland’s youth academy, and is a very talented and promising young striker.
The 21-year-old, though, struggled to break into the Black Cats’ first team, and had loan spells at Hartlepool United, Harrogate Town, Falkirk and Darlington.
Future success
Dundee are struggling for survival in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and are in real danger of going down to the second tier of English football at the end of the season.
Nelson will be aiming to hit the ground running at Dundee and scored the goals to help Jim McIntyre’s side escape the dreaded drop to the Scottish Championship.
