Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers reportedly offered Andrew Gutman a contract, but the youngster has joined Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic instead.

Andrew Gutman has taken to Twitter to express his delight at joining Celtic, and his post may annoy fans of Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers.

As announced on Celtic’s official Twitter page, the Hoops secured the services of Gutman on January transfer deadline day.

The Glasgow giants have announced on their official website that the 22-year-old defender will be sent back to the USA on loan.

The American youngster earned a move to Celtic after impressing in trials, and he has revelled in his success on Twitter.

Gutman has said that Celtic are the best club in the world, and his post on Twitter may annoy fans of Rangers.

As reported by BBC Sport, Gutman is a former Rangers trialist, and he could well have been playing for Gerrard’s team now.

According to a report on American Soccer Now in December 2018, Rangers offered Gutman a contract, but it seems that the youngster decided to move to the Gers’ bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic instead.
