Hoffenheim striker Andrej Kramaric has told Omnisport that he thinks it would be ‘exciting’ to return to the Premier League amid talk of a move to West Ham United.

Some Premier League fans may remember Kramaric, as he joined Leicester City in January 2015, having hit 55 goals in 65 games for Rijeka in his native Croatia.

His stint in England didn’t exactly go well though, as he scored just four goals in 20 games for Leicester, before heading out on loan to Hoffenheim just a year after joining the Foxes.

Kramaric made his move permanent, and now has 56 goals in 124 games for Hoffenheim, starring for the German side whilst enjoying a stunning campaign, with 20 goals to his name this term.

The 27-year-old has become a much more complete player since leaving Leicester, not only playing as a goal poacher but also as a winger or even as a number 10 having rounded out his game.

Now, Calciomercato claim that West Ham are looking to offer Kramaric a return to the Premier League, with Manuel Pellegrini keen to overhaul their striking options this summer.

Just as that rumour has emerged, Kramaric has now admitted that it would be ‘exciting’ to come back to the Premier League, admitting that he still follows English football closely, and still wants to show his quality in England having been unable to with Leicester.

“I follow the Premier League closely,” said Kramaric. “I have to be honest, to me it’s the best league in the world. The style of football is different to Germany and we all know that. During my time at Leicester I witnessed a great story, we won the league. I didn’t play too much there, which is why I went on loan to Hoffenheim and stayed.”

“But I do think I could go back, because I could show them what I couldn’t do last time, but what I am doing in the Bundesliga at the moment. So it would be exciting to come back to the Premier League,” he added.
