Former Rangers star hits out at his former boss Alex McLeish and warns club not to bring him back to Ibrox.

Former Rangers winger Andrei Kanchelskis has warned the club not to re-appoint Alex McLeish.
Kanchelskis played for Rangers between 1998 and 2002, and was sold by McLeish.
He is not in favour of McLeish returning, and remains bitter towards his old boss.

Still continuing to hold a grudge 15 years on, Kanchelskis blasted McLeish and urged Rangers not to consider him.
He said: “In my opinion, he (McLeish) was a coach with a double face – one day he would speak with you okay and after an hour he was double-faced and tell you a lot of rubbish.
“Some players from Scotland will know what I’m saying.
“The club needs someone who can understand the mentality but not someone like a McLeish or Strachan.
“They need some new, younger coaches. Sometimes young coaches get brought in and changed after six months but they need some time.”

Kanchelskis retired from football in 2006 and has moved into management himself.
He has managed four clubs over the past six years in Russia and Latvia and is currently out of work.
If McLeish does return to Ibrox, don’t expect Kanchelskis to be brought back as part of his coaching staff.
