Rangers manager Graeme Murty is contracted at Ibrox until the end of the season as manager.

Former Rangers winger Andrei Kanchelskis has told BetStars that manager Graeme Murty should “definitely stay” at Ibrox beyond the 2017-18 campaign despite a poor run of recent form.
Despite going on a run of nine wins in 11 league and cup outings, Murty has watched his side pick up just one Scottish Premiership points from their last three games – which has included losses to Celtic and Kilmarnock.
Murty, 43, who was previously in charge of the youth set-up at Ibrox, has been given the manager’s role until the end of the season after the sacking of Pedro Caixinha earlier this campaign.

But with the Gers now in third and 13 points behind Old Firm rivals Celtic, question marks remain over the future of former Reading defender Murty with six Scottish Premiership games to play. But Kanchelskis has backed the Gers boss.
“Yes, he [Murty] should definitely stay, he is doing well but he needs time,” Kanchelskis said. “He can’t perform magic or quickly change the team so that it’s winning titles.
“It is part of a process and will take some time for him to work with the team. He should stay at least another year.”

The Gers remain in the hunt for silverware this season, as they take on Brendan Rodgers’ side once again in the Scottish Cup semi-final on April 15 – in their final bid to stop the Hoops from completing a second successive treble.
But focus turns to this weekend as the Gers take on Neil McCann’s Dundee at Ibrox, with the Dark Blues likely to be in buoyant mood after securing a 0-0 draw against Celtic earlier in the week.
