Weimann simply tweeted ‘Gabby’ yesterday, after Agbonlahor had hit the winner against Birmingham City in the derby.
Agbonlahor struck late on, to ensure that Steve Bruce’s side got the three points.
And Weimann, who is now at Wolverhampton Wanderers, couldn’t resist taking to social media to celebrate his former side’s result.
Weimann broke through at Villa, before he developed into a first-team player for the Midlands side.
Weimann ended up leaving the claret and blues to join Derby County in 2015.
Villa’s match against Birmingham yesterday was one of few chances, but Agbonlahor scrambled in the winner late on to plunge Birmingham into further relegation trouble.
Harry Redknapp’s new side are now just two points above the relegation zone, with two matches still to play.
