The Austrian has joined Wolves on loan from Derby County.
New Wolverhampton Wanderers signing Andreas Weimann has been speaking about his relationship with the Molineux boss Paul Lambert – who he previously worked with at Aston Villa.
The Austrian international has joined Wolves on loan until the end of the season from Derby County. The 25-year-old has joined on loan from the Rams until the end of the season after struggling to settle at Pride Park since making a move to the club in 2015.

Weimann first came to the fore at Villa under the management of Lambert, who gave him a chance to excel at the club.
Now he has admitted that the desire to move to Wolves was facilitated by a wish to work with Lambert again. He told Laola:
“That’s why he went to Wolverhampton.
“When he was my coach, I played the best football in my career and played a big part in the fact that I am here now.
“I want to prove to my critics that they are wrong. I hope I can get a fresh start here.”

Weimann has struggled to find some his previous good form, which once saw him linked with big moves away from Villa Park.
Derby has not panned out to be a successful move for him and he will be hoping that Wolves can be a stepping stone toward finding his best football yet again.
Wolves fans will be optimistic that is the case.
