Everton are interested in signing Andreas Pereira from Manchester United in the summer transfer window, according to TNT Sports.
The Toffees have reportedly made a proposal to Premier League rivals United to sign Pereira on a loan deal.
Brazilian club Flamengo and Turkish giants Fenerbahce want the 25-year-old Brazil international midfielder as well.
Marcel Brands connection
Pereira is a player who will be well known to Everton director of football Marcel Brands.
Brands was in a similar role at Dutch club PSV when the Brazilian was there.
The midfielder left PSV for United in 2011.
Brands was the director of football of the Eredivisie outfit from 2010 until 2018.

Could a transfer happen?
Pereira is a talented player, but the Brazil international has not been able to establish himself at United.
The midfielder has scored two goals in 45 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The Brazilian has had loan spells at Granada, Valencia and Lazio in recent years.
The 25-year-old’s current contract at United runs until June 2023.
From United’s perspective, it would make sense to cash in on the Brazilian now and get some transfer fee in.
However, a loan deal could appeal to the Red Devils, as they would at least get his £30,000-a-week wages off their books.
