Marvin Compper moved to Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic in the January transfer window.

Celtic signed Compper from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window for a fee reported by The Glasgow Evening Times to be worth £1 million.
The defender has struggled to make an impact at Celtic Park and has endured injury issues during his time at the Glasgow giants so far.
Former Celtic defender Hinkel, who won the league title with the Hoops back in 2008,has revealed what he thought of his compatriot Compper when the 33-year-old centre-back joined the Hoops in January.

Hinkel told The Glasgow Evening Times about Compper: “He has a good pedigree and I did think that when he signed for Celtic in January that he would be a good fit for the club.
“I thought that his experience would be significant for them and I still think that is something that can be utilised for the benefit of the team.”

Pre-season chance
Compper is a very good and experienced defender, and it is unfortunate that the 33-year-old has had fitness issues at Celtic so far.
If the former Fiorentina defender has a good pre-season and get some valuable time in the upcoming friendly matches, then he will certainly be a key figure for the Hoops next season, especially in the Champions League qualifiers.
