Leeds are reportedly looking to Asia for a new talent.

Leeds fans celebrate their team's victory during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Derby County at Elland Road on November 29, 2014 in Leeds, England.

Leeds United director Victor Orta revealed last night that the club are working on bringing in a new talent from Asia.

Even though it is outside the transfer window, Orta told Leeds’ Facebook page: “We are near to signing a big surprise from Asia. We are watching a lot of players.”

There is currently no word on who the player may be, but a recent trip undertaken by Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani adds intrigue to his claim.

At the end of the transfer window Radrizzani was in Japan, posting an image on his Instagram page from Tokyo.

In late July, Leeds appointed former Japan international Toshiya Fujita as their Asian head of football development.

Leeds are rapidly expanding their global reach under the savvy ownership of Radrizzani, looking across Europe to add young player to their under-23 squad over this past summer.

They clearly may not be done yet and the early success of Orta’s initial signings at Leeds United offers real hope that the Whites are close to adding another top talent to their exciting squad.
