Leeds United have confirmed that the club have been taken over by Andrea Radrizzani after months of speculation.

The Italian businessman took control of 50 per cent of the club in January and has been putting together the final pieces of a bid to buy the remaining 50 per cent from controversial countryman Massimo Cellino.

The club confirmed earlier today that that deal has now gone through with Radrizzani also becoming chairman. It brings an end to Cellino’s controversial time at Leeds, much to the joy of Leeds United fans.

Since taking over at Elland Road the Italian has been the centre of controversy on a number of occasions and has gone through managers at an alarming rate.

Leeds fans are much more impressed and excited at the potential ownership of the club under Radrizzani. The man himself is obviously very excited, as he took to Twitter to share his joy at finally getting a deal done:

Now the club will be able to fully focus on keeping their manager Garry Monk on board at manager for the long-term as well as making sure they conduct successful transfer business and push for promotion next season.
