Leeds United have sold the midfielder to Nottingham Forest.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has taken to Twitter to send a message to Liam Bridcutt after the midfielder completed his switch to Championship rivals Nottingham Forest.
The Scotland international wore the captain’s armband for the Whites last season, but he fell down the pecking order under new boss Thomas Christiansen, and with four players ahead of him for a starting spot it was no surprise to see him move on before the transfer window slams shut next week.

Shortly after the move was announced, Radrizzani wrote the following message on social media: “I appreciated your professionalism and leadership at Leeds. Thank you Liam Bridcutt and good luck.”
The comment is in stark contrast to the statement the Whites supremo put out following Chris Wood’s move to Burnley, in which he said he wanted “players at Leeds who consider us a big club”.

While Wood’s acrimonious exit leaves a sour taste, Bridcutt is likely to be wished well by the club’s supporters, even if his performances dropped in the final few months of his time in Yorkshire.
With Kalvin Phillips, Eunan O’Kane, Mateusz Klich and Ronaldo Vieira all ahead of the former Sunderland man in the pecking order, he now has the chance to make up for lost time and prove his worth once more.
Leeds supporters will wish him the best, while hoping they are the club that ultimately wins the league title come May.
