Leeds United got back to winning ways on Saturday.

Andrea Radrizzani has congratulated his Leeds United team on Twitter following Saturday’s dramatic win 2-1 at Rotherham.

Mateusz Klich slotted home an 86th-minute winner at The New York Stadium as high-flying Leeds opened up a cushion in the automatic promotion spots.

Klich had also equalised early in the second half after Semi Ajayi’s opener on 28 minutes.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side had lost four of their previous five games across all competitions prior to Saturday’s win over their Yorkshire rivals, but the Argentine seems to have stopped the rot.

The Whites moved six points clear of third-placed Sheffield United, but the game had extra significance to the club on a personal level, with it being their first match since the funeral of Leeds-daft Toby Nye in midweek [BBC].

And the Whites’ owner Radrizzani gave a three-word message to his team on Twitter.

Bumps in the road are inevitable for a team chasing Premier League promotion, but Bielsa is managing those bumps very well.

In recent seasons, the wheels came off when those Leeds sides had experienced a dip in form, but under the 63-year-old it seems like he is able to minimise the damage and turn it around swiftly.

It’s a vital component in United’s season and if they continue rolling with the punches instead of being floored by them, they’ll be back in the promised land come May.
