On the final day of the 2015/16 season, then-Leeds manager Steve Evans handed Vieira his debut in a 1-1 draw away at Preston North End, kickstarting the midfielder’s career at a young age.
The 18-year-old became a first-team regular under Garry Monk this season, racking up 34 Championship appearances whilst scoring just the one goal, with his performances in front of the back four earning him huge praise.

Vieira was called up by the England Under-20’s earlier this month, and seems destined for stardom, with Leeds now tying down his future in a huge deal for the club.
The Whites announced that Vieira has penned a new four-year contract with the club, and club owner Andrea Radrizzani took to Twitter to send a message to the midfielder, stating that he is very proud of the teenager.
Vieira replied by thanking Radrizzani for his trust, and also admitted that he is delighted to be staying with Leeds, thanking everybody at the club for their support.
Vieira’s brother Romario also reacted on Twitter by celebrating Ronaldo’s contract, and he will be hoping for similar success at Leeds United, where he is also coming up through the ranks.
