Andrea Radrizzani has taken to Twitter to respond to a Leeds fan who has been left frustrated by the Whites’ lack of activity in the January transfer window.
Like last season, Leeds go into the second-half of the campaign well placed to make a charge for the play-off places. However, after last season’s promotion push fell to pieces a few months after a quiet January, the club’s recent form and lack of activity in the market has got fans worried that history could be about to repeat itself.
Thomas Christiansen’s side have not won any of their last four in all competitions, but have responded with just one signing for the first-team, with Laurens De Bock arriving from Club Brugge.
Meanwhile, Yosuke Ideguchi was loaned out and Aapo Halme has bolstered the under-23 ranks, and that has left supporters concerned that Leeds will end the window with a squad that is simply not strong enough to clear the hurdle that proved too big last season.
And that has prompted a number of supporters to express their anger on social media – especially after the defeat to Ipswich Town at the weekend – and one message has clearly caught Radrizzani’s attention.
The Italian – who has done a lot of good work since arriving last year – insisted that he is still committed to getting Leeds back to the promised land, and promised that the club will address all fan concerns further down the line, but added that the sole focus right now is Christiansen’s side’s next game, which comes at home to Millwall this weekend.
