Leeds United have slipped out of the play-off places for the first time in 2017.
A defeat at home to Wolves leaves them in seventh place with three games to go.
New co-owner Andrea Radrizzani is urging the fans not to panic, insisting that their fate remains in their own hands, providing they win all three.
With just one win in their last five games, that is easier said than done.
Radrizzani was then heckled on Twitter for failing to invest in the squad in January.
Leeds only sought to tie down existing loan players and bring in further players on loan, despite being in their best position for years, with a viable shot of winning promotion to the Premier League.
Radrizzani disagreed with the message directed at him, and insisted that head coach Garry Monk was happy with the transfer activity conducted earlier this year.
He responded, once again urging the supporters to get behind the team.
Getting behind the team while being critical of the board are not mutually exclusive, and fans are able to do both.
If Leeds do fall short in getting to the play-offs this season will be seen as a failure, letting slip a golden opportunity.
