Leeds United lost 1-0 away at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday night.

Leeds United’s promotion push took a dent on Tuesday night as they were beaten 1-0 away at Queens Park Rangers.
The Whites went into the game having beaten Bolton Wanderers at Elland Road on Saturday, and were looking to go top of the Championship table with a win in their game in hand.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side wasted their opportunity though, losing 1-0 at Loftus Road as Luke Freeman’s goals early in the second half proved to be the winner.
The goal ended QPR’s run of seven straight defeats, so this feels like a real missed chance for Leeds to use their game in hand to great effect.
Friday’s game with fourth-placed West Bromwich Albion has now become even more important for Leeds, as they must show a swift response to Tuesday’s defeat.
It’s now five defeats in the last 10 Championship games for Leeds, and some outside of Elland Road may now feel that the Whites are somewhat running out of steam in their promotion.

Yet at just two points behind league leaders Norwich, Leeds are still well in the mix – and owner Andrea Radrizzani issued a rallying call after the final whistle.
The Italian urged everyone to keep the faith and work hard, adding his pride for all the players and fans down in West London last night, with Radrizzani still believing that promotion is within their grasp.
