Leeds United had Kyle Bartley on loan from Swansea City back in the 2016/17 campaign.

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has further proof that Kyle Bartley should be made his side’s first choice target in the summer transfer window, after his performance for Swansea City last night.

Bartley spent the 2016/17 campaign on loan at Leeds, but was kept by Swansea for this campaign.

The centre-back has only being used in a reserve capacity for Swansea this term, in the main, with most his appearances coming in cup competition.

Bartley starred yet again for Swansea as they beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 yesterday, and Leeds should now have seen enough to bring the 26-year-old to Elland Road permanently.

Bartley is simply too good to be a back-up player, and he could be a key player for the years ahead at Leeds.

Bartley would also fit in with what Radrizzani is looking for, as the Whites boss has suggested that domestic players are high on his wishlist.

“From now on we will be far more focused on the domestic market, particularly the young players,” Radrizzani said to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

If Leeds could bring in Bartley it would be a signal of their intent for next campaign.

And Radrizzani has all the evidence he needs that Bartley should be his first choice target in the summer transfer window.
