Leeds United get their season under way at the weekend, with a match against Bolton Wanderers.

Andrea Radrizzani has told BBC Sport that he and Thomas Christiansen share similar views on how Leeds United should be playing football.

Radrizzani has suggested that Christiansen wants to operate with an attacking style at Leeds, which will see them outscore their opposition.

And the Italian owner insists that entertaining football is what he wants to see now he is in charge at Elland Road.

“We have similar ideas of playing offensive and trying to win games, that’s why we have him on board,” Radrizzani said.

There is a cautious optimism around Leeds about the season ahead, after a summer of change.

Leeds have brought in 10 new players in the transfer window so far, with Christiansen bolstering his squad.

Leeds look stronger in midfield and up-front, in particular, and that should allow Christiansen to utilise his preferred attacking style.

Leeds finished just short of the play offs last term, but have made no secret of their desire to break into the top six next time around.
