Leeds United are finally back in the Premier League, and Andrea Radrizzani deserves credit for his work at Elland Road.
The Italian took control of the club from compatriot Massimo Cellino, and set out with the goal of guiding the Whites back to the top flight.
Many have tried and failed in recent times, but Radrizzani made the big step of appointing Marcelo Bielsa in the summer of 2018.
After a play-off nightmare in 2019, Bielsa guided Leeds to the Championship title, and they have made a strong start to life back in the Premier League.
Leeds claimed 11 points from nine games, meaning they’re just one point behind Manchester City and two shy of Arsenal; a situation many would have taken.
Radrizzani is no doubt delighted with how his Leeds project is going, but that doesn’t mean they’re the only club on his mind.

Speaking to Gianluca Di Marzio, Radrizzani claims that a number of clubs around Europe are now up for sale, and he would love to own two or three more clubs to ‘expand the sporting project’.
That could help Leeds if they’re considered as sister clubs, whether it’s as parent or feeder clubs, though Radrizzani made it clear that Leeds are his priority right now.
“There are also many clubs in Europe that are for sale, but now I am thinking about Leeds,” said Radrizzani. “There is nothing concrete in the short term, but it would be great to expand the sporting project with 2-3 different clubs in other European leagues,” he added.
