Leeds under-23s won 5-1 this afternoon.

Leeds United’s under-23 team earned their biggest victory of the season this afternoon as they beat Nottingham Forest 5-1.
Summer additions Oliver Sarkic and Oriol Rey scored early goals before Adrian Balboa, Paudie O’Connor and Tom Pearce completed the win
The big victory was perfectly timed after the under-23 squad was criticised by club legend Ian Harte last week.

After a 2-2 draw with Birmingham, Harte criticised the team for ‘sounding too Spanish’ in communication on and off the pitch.
Club owner Andrea Radrizzani came out and backed Carlos Corberan’s side, and after the win today the Italian congratulated the team on their victory.
To his credit, Harte also responded to the win by congratulating the team on their win.
Harte may have gone about his criticism in the wrong way last week with an outburst on Twitter, but ultimately he just wants what is best for his former club.
This performance today was the perfect rebuttal to his comments, with local lads and foreign imports combining to get on the scoresheet.
