Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has ruled out a potential return to the Premier League in the summer, in comments to BT Sport.
The 38-year-old boss is currently manager at Russian side Zenit Saint Petersburg, but is set to leave the club in the summer when his contract comes to end.
His time in Russia has been a mixed experience, winning the title in his first full season although things have not gone as smoothly this year.
That follows a similar track to how things went in England, with a poor spell at Chelsea being followed by a strong first season at Tottenham before that turned sour in his second season.
And as a result, he says he will not be returning to the Premier League in the summer.
“I think my time has been done there,” he told BT Sport.
“It didn’t go as well as I expected apart from the first year at Tottenham, I look forward to trying other leagues.”
It will now be interesting to see where Villas-Boas ends up once he leaves Zenit.
At one point it had looked like he had the world at his feet as one of the hottest young coaches in world football, before his spells with Chelsea and Tottenham soured that reputation somewhat.
Whether he can rebuild that in future, potentially in England once again despite his latest comments, remains to be seen.
