Chelsea star Andre Schurrle posted a message to the club’s fans after their 6-0 victory over Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
‘What a beautiful day!‘ Andre Schurrle wrote in the message that accompanied his picture on Instagram on Saturday afternoon; although there were considerably more exclamation marks than that.
The post was in celebration of Chelsea’s 6-0 victory over Arsenal that took the Blues one big step closer to reclaiming the Premier League title.
The German scored the second goal in what quickly became a rout, and while many of the headlines will about the wrongful dismissal of the Gunners’ Kieran Gibbs, nothing should be taken away from a very impressive Chelsea side.
There is still some work to do, and while Arsenal will hope to come strong again there is also the twin-threat of Liverpool and Manchester City. But a quick glance at the table will show just how important Chelsea’s victory was over Wenger’s side.
And Schurrle, along with his Chelsea teammates, will be very aware of that…
