Aston Villa reportedly want to sign Andre Moreira on loan from Atletico Madrid.

According to The Sun, Aston Villa are on the verge of signing Andre Moreira from Atletico Madrid.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Villa are close to signing Moreira on a season-long loan deal from Spanish club Atletico in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper will be competing with Jed Steer for the spot between the Villa posts this season.
Although the Portuguese is a talented goalkeeper, he would be an underwhelming signing for Villa.
Sam Johnstone was the first-choice goalkeeper for Villa last season and was one of the best in his position in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper’s departure (to West Bromwich Albion on a permanent contract from Manchester United) has left a hole in Steven Bruce’s team, and Moreira is not the player to fill it.

The youngster has failed to break into the Atletico first team, and his experience of playing first-team football is also limited.
If Villa want to challenge for the Championship playoffs again this season, then they need to do better than sign Moreira, who, although talented, is not at the level of the Villans yet.
