The talented prospect was a late substitute against Middlesbrough yesterday.
Aston Villa’s Andre Green
Aston Villa striker Andre Green has taken to social media to thank the fans after yesterday’s friendly defeat at Villa Park.
Premier League new boys Middlesbrough were the visitors as Villa looked to squeeze in some final preparation before beginning their league campaign.

Alvaro Negredo
Three second-half goals from Alvaro Negredo, Viktor Fischer and Jordan Rhodes completed the Borough comeback but Green was still positive and took to Twitter to send this message after the game:
The 18-year old made his senior debut last season and caught the eye with his pacey, direct performances.
His form led to some speculation around a possible Villa Park exit, with Spurs believed to be among his suitors – according to the Birmingham Mail.
Roberto Di Matteo
He appears to be staying put however, and will hope to see more game time in the Championship under Di Matteo in the coming season.
Villa showed promising signs against Middlesbrough, despite fading as the game wore on, and they will now turn their attention to their opening league fixture next Sunday last season’s play-off semi-finalists Sheffield Wednesday.
