Andre Green has returned to Aston Villa training.

Steve Bruce has been handed a major injury boost as Andre Green has returned to full training with Aston Villa.

The highly exciting and talented winger hasn’t played since September after undergoing surgery on a hamstring problem.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Green stepped up his recovery at Under Armour’s performance centre and then returned to Bodymoor Heath earlier this month.

The 19-year-old has returned to training with his team-mates. He has taken to social networking site Twitter to post some of the training pictures.

The report states that the England youth international could be in line for a recall over the hectic Christmas period.

Aston Villa are fifth in the Championship table with 37 points, and Bruce will be looking to keep the good form going in the busy festive schedule.

The Villa kick off a run of four fixtures in 10 days against Sheffield United on Saturday. After that they will face Brentford, Middlesbrough, and Bristol City.
