The Toffees won last time out at Goodison Park to ease the pressure on Blues boss Marco Silva.

Everton's Andre Gomes

Everton midfielder Andre Gomes has taken to Twitter with a heartfelt message for the Toffees fanbase as the Goodison Park outfit gears up for this weekend’s Premier League clash hoping to build on last Saturday’s morale-boosting win.

Prior to last weekend’s Goodison Park clash with West Ham, Everton had lost their previous four Premier League games, piling the pressure on Toffees boss Marco Silva, but with Gomes pulling the strings, Everton claimed all three points as goals from Bernard and Gylfi Sigurdsson helped the Toffees edge out of the bottom three.

The Portugal ace looked back to his best with a near-flawless performance, weighing in with several raking passes to split the Hammers defence wide open, and showed plenty of energy and desire well into the latter stages of the game.

Brighton are up next for Everton, who make the trip to the south coast for Saturday’s 3pm kickoff, and Gomes was honest in saying “we know we’re still not where we want to be” but stressed that he and his teammates are working hard to maintain the levels they reached last time out.

The message went down very well with the Toffees fanbase, some of whom took the time to respond to Gomes:
