Everton lost against Sheffield United at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Everton central midfielder Andre Gomes has sent a message to the fans on Twitter following the defeat to Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon.
The Toffees suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of the Blades at Goodison Park in the Premier League.
An own goal from Yerry Mina put Chris Wilder’s side in the lead in the 40th minute, and Lys Mousset doubled the advantage in the 79th minute.
Gomes did not play in the match due to injury, and the 26-year-old Portugal international central midfielder has urged the Everton fans to stay together.
Disappointing result
True, United are a good team who are on a high after clinching promotion to the Premier League, but Everton have better players and are a better side.
The Toffees should be winning their home matches against teams like United if they are to break into the top six of the Premier League.
Marco Silva’s side will return to action on Tuesday evening when they take on Sheffield Wednesday away from home in the third round of the EFL Cup.
