Everton central midfielder Andre Gomes has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Manchester United at the weekend.

Marco Silva’s side got the better of United 4-0 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Richarlison put the Toffees in the lead in the 13th minute, and Gylfi Sigurdsson doubled the advantage for the home team on 28 minutes.

Lucas Digne made it 3-0 to the Merseyside outfit in the 56th minute, and Theo Walcott wrapped up the scoring for Marco Silva’s side on 64 minutes.

Gomes, signed on a season-long loan deal from Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the summer of 2018, did not play against United, as the Portugal international central midfielder is serving a three-match ban.

The former Valencia star, though, has taken to Twitter to revel in the win, and some Everton fans have responded positively to his message and has urged him to sign a permanent contract with the Merseyside outfit.

According to The Telegraph, Tottenham want to sign Gomes from Barcelona this summer and are willing to pay as much as £30 million in transfer fees.

Everton manager Marco Silva has suggested to The Telegraph that he wants to keep the Portugal international at Goodison Park next season.
