Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne praised the Everton supporters as the Toffees secured a draw in their latest Premier League clash.

Andre Gomes and Lucas Digne have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment over the crazy five minutes that nearly cost Everton during their clash with Watford on Monday, but the Toffees signings also praised the fans for inspiring the side to secure a point in dramatic fashion.
In a pulsating game at Goodison Park, the Hornets looked set to upset former boss Marco Silva as the contest reached the 95th minute with the visitors 2-1 ahead.
Richarlison’s controversial opener gave Everton a half-time lead. But Seamus Coleman’s unfortunate own goal and Abdoulaye Doucoure’s header saw Watford equalise and take the lead in the space of three minutes.
The Toffees had a golden chance to equalise when Gylfi Sigurdsson stepped up to take a penalty, but Ben Foster managed to keep the ball out with a smart save with his foot.

The home side ultimately were relying on a stunning stoppage-time free-kick from Digne to secure the point. The draw leaves Everton without a win in their last three, and seventh in the Premier League.
Gomes provided the assist for the opening goal and often looked good on the ball, but it was not one of his finest performances since his arrival in the summer having arguably set an incredibly high bar.

And after the game, the two summer signings lauded the impact that the fans made as Silva’s men looked to bag an equaliser in the final minutes of the contest…
