Barcelona-owned Everton central midfielder Andre Gomes has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at his side’s win against Crystal Palace at the weekend.
Everton got the better of Palace 2-0 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
After a goalless first half, Dominic Calvert-Lewin put the Toffees in the 87th minute, and Cenk Tosun added the second just two minutes later.
Gomes, who joined Everton on loan from Spanish and European giants Barcelona in the summer transfer window, featured for Marco Silva’s side against the Eagles.
The 25-year-old Portugal international central midfielder started the match and played for 82 minutes.

The former Benfica and Valencia star was impressed with the atmosphere at Goodison Park in what his first competitive appearance for Everton.
The win against Palace means that Everton are now eighth in the Premier League table with 15 points from nine matches, six points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently fourth in the standings and occupy the final Champions League spot.
