Andre Gomes has cleared out his locker at Barcelona and the possible Tottenham target is poised to leave this summer.

Portugal's midfielder Andre Gomes stands prior to the international friendly football match between Portugal and Netherlands at Stade de Geneve stadium in Geneva on March 26, 2018.

Andre Gomes, previously wanted by Tottenham Hotspur, has cleared out his locker at Barcelona’s training facilities ahead of an inevitable move away this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The Portugal international has failed to truly impose himself on the Barcelona squad since his €35million arrival from Valencia in 2016 and was strongly linked with a move to the Premier League during last season’s transfer deadline day when Spurs and West Ham United were vying for his services.

That opportunity will present itself again this summer, it would appear. According to Mundo Deportivo, the 24-year-old, who started just six times in La Liga last season, has privately accepted he has no future at the club under Ernesto Valverde and has cleared out his belongings at the club’s Ciutat Esportiva training facilities.

Their report adds Gomes still favours a move to the Premier League and that Barcelona “will sell without any problems if the offer is attractive.”

While he has flattered to deceive at Barcelona, Spurs boss Maurico Pochettino would appear to see something in the midfielder and with his time at Barcelona seemingly up, he could be an affordable option for the north London side this summer.

Doubts over Mousa Dembele’s long-term fitness coupled with persistent interest from clubs from the Chinese Super League, as reported by Belgian outlet HLN last week, could see the hugely influential midfielder’s future come into doubt this summer.

In April, the Mirror reported Gomes was one such option under consideration in the event of Dembele leaving. That interest could return with his Barcelona fate seemingly decided.
