The Nigerian has been speaking about his recent appearances against Tottenham Hotpsur.
Gent midfielder Anderson Esiti has been speaking to magazine Sport/Football about his hopes for the future, with his comments later published online by Voetbal Nieuws.
The 22-year-old came up against Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League earlier this season and that clash clearly made its mark.
“Afterwards I was in incredible pain after my battle with (Victor) Wanyama but I persisted,” Esiti is quoted as saying.
“Now I dream of England. I will continue to pursue that dream. The Premier League haunts my mind.
“Wanyama planned his career step by step and I must have his strength.”
The Kenyan international has been superb since signing for Tottenham from Southampton last summer, playing a key role in the club’s surge up the table and their progress to the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
He has been Spurs’ unsung hero while the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane have taken the plaudits and generated the headlines, but it takes players like Wanyama to keep things ticking over.

Esiti is the same type of player; a defensive midfielder who has featured 33 times for Gent to date, having previously turned out for Leixoes and Estoril.
Only time will tell if he ultimately follows Wanyama to the Premier League, but his matches against Tottenham appear to have cemented a dream he has every intention of fulfilling.
