According to DHnet, Anderlecht are seeking a £9 million fee for Elias Cobbaut who was wanted by Sheffield United in the January transfer window.
The versatile defender is one of Anderlecht’s prized assets.
Cobbaut was a bright spark in an otherwise disappointing campaign for Anderlecht, prompting a call up to the Belgium national team by Roberto Martinez.

And according to reports in January, Sheffield United were monitoring his progress.
Le Soir claimed Cobbaut watched the Blades in action during their defeat at Manchester City in December, suggesting that contact had been underway over a move.
A January move to Bramall Lane, however, never materialised.
The global health pandemic saw the Belgian league abruptly cancelled. For teams like Anderlecht, they have since missed out on big revenue streams.
Now, DHnet claims Vincent Kompany’s side are ready to cash in on their sellable assets.
Cobbaut, who is a versatile central defender, could be an excellent option for the Blades this summer with Wilder no doubt keen to strengthen his squad.
The Yorkshire club have enjoyed a terrific campaign in the Premier League. However, Wilder won’t allow his side to rest on their laurels for next season.
Cobbaut could provide competition for the likes of John Egan, Jack O’Connell and Chris Basham, with the Anderlecht star having plenty of years ahead of him.
