Wayne Rooney has left Manchester United for Everton in the summer transfer window.
Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has taken to social networking site Twitter to send a farewell message to new Everton signing Wayne Rooney.
Rooney has left United for Everton in the summer transfer window. The 31-year-old forward started his professional club football career at Goodison Park and left for Old Trafford in 2004.
The England international is one of the best players in Premier League history and was a key figure for United for over a decade.

During his time at Old Trafford, Rooney, who has also operated as a midfielder, won the Premier League five times, the FA Cup, the Champions League and the Europa League once each, and the League Cup on three occasions.

The 27-year-old Spain international, who cost the Red Devils £29 million in transfer fees when he moved from Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2014 according to The Daily Mail, has summed up just how great the Englishman is with a simple but powerful message.
