Jamie O’Hara has urged Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to bring back former Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera, as quoted on talkSPORT.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder believes that Arsenal should sign right-back Kieran Trippier from Atletico Madrid.

The talkSPORT pundit has also urged Arsenal to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi and his teammate Herrera, who left United in 2019 to move to the French giants.

O’Hara said on talkSPORT: “They should sign Kieran Tripper, pay whatever they want – even if it is £30million.

“PSG need to get rid of some players; go and get Mauro Icardi up front and then go and get Ander Herrera in midfield!”

Okay, Trippier could be a possibility for Arsenal, but Icardi and Herrera are certainly not.

Arsenal want to sign former Tottenham Hotspur right-back Trippier in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun.

Now, of course, the England international is a former Spurs player, and it remains to be seen if he would be open to a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Icardi could win Ligue 1 and the Champions League with PSG and has the chance to play with Lionel Messi at club level this season.

Surely, the 28-year-old Argentina international international striker will not want to move to the Gunners, who are not even in the Europa League.

The same holds true for Herrera.

The Spain international has already played for United in England and may not be willing to turn out for another Premier League club.

Yes, PSG could be open to selling some of their players after signing Messi, but Arsenal would find it tough to convince Herrera to make the switch to the Emirates Stadium.

Herrera is also 31.

And then there is the small matter of paying Herrera and Icardi’s big wages.
