Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal could reportedly announce the signing of Jurrien Timber from Ajax in the coming days.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has told GiveMeSport that Ajax defender Jurrien Timber has already completed his medical at Arsenal.
Sheth has said that Arsenal could make a formal announcement about a deal for the 22-year-old defender this week.
The Sun have reported that Arsenal will pay Ajax £34 million in transfer fees to secure the services of Timber, who can operate as a central defender or as a right-back.
Sheth said: “The information we’ve been given concerning Jurrien Timber is that we think he’s done his medical now.
“It’s just the case of dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s on the contract, and then a formal announcement from Arsenal. So, it could even happen as soon as this week.”
